Our original Sea-kayak Fiji journey, amazing people since 1997.
A trip packed with experiences but never rushed, at 7 days the Kadavu Classic allows you time to unwind. For most international travelers Fiji's remote Kadavu Island is a once-in-a-lifetime destination, so it makes sense to stay longer to get the most out of your visit.
Each day our guides will take you out on world-class sea-kayaking and snorkeling adventures. Being indigenous Kadavu Islanders they know these waters intimately. Whatever the weather or sea conditions, the guides will lead you safely to the very best places to paddle and dive.
As the days unfold the adventures continue. Because the trip is private for just your group, the guides are able to adjust the mix of activity and relaxation to suit you. The support motor-boat is never far away, so everyone can paddle as much or as little as they choose. Even non-paddlers and children can join the trip and rendezvous with the group at the many beach-stops along the way.
You’ll be accommodated at the two best resorts on Kadavu Island, with three nights at each place. Each day you’ll sea-kayak a different section of coast. With the guides’ local knowledge and the occasional trip in the support motor-boat you won’t ever have to paddle the same section twice.
More about the accommodation:
Both Matava and Papageno resorts cater to around 20 guests each. Matava is on the south-east coast of Kadavu Island, Papageno on the north-west. Both resorts have their own abundant organic gardens.
Both resorts offer everything the traveling sea-kayaker needs to rest well overnight and be ready for the next day’s adventure. You won’t find valet-parking, nightclubs, golf courses or tennis courts. What you will get is a clean, fan-cooled bedroom with an en-suite bathroom (hot shower, flush-toilet). You’ll be able to enjoy a drink from the bar and a selection of wines to have with your meal.
